Aggie Impact Initiative: Daughters Screening, Social Innovation, and Community Legacy at GHOE

Daughters is more than a documentary, it’s a movement. This Emmy-nominated, Peabody Award-winning film tells the powerful story of Black girls impacted by the incarceration of their fathers, and the community that rallied around them through the Girl Action Team at Girls For A Change.

As the largest HBCU in the country, North Carolina A&T has a responsibility and an opportunity to lead a national conversation about justice, healing, and community-driven solutions. That’s why we are inviting departments, alumni, students, and business partners to engage in a three-part initiative:

  • Host a campus screening of the film during GHOE

  • Collaborate with Girls For A Change on academic and service-learning initiatives

  • Innovate how we increase funding for NC A&T SU and GFAC through a new employee benefit program model

Bonus

  • Engage the entertainment community to amplify impact by transforming GHOE events into platforms for purpose.

Whether you're a department chair, a student leader, a business donor, or a promoter, we’re asking you to lean in. Because when Aggies come together, we don’t just celebrate.

We create change that echoes across generations.
